First of all my sincere appologies for the trouble with the Peak Plants website. Our web supplier has made excelent work in designing the website but very poor work in mantaining its functionality. we have to start new here.
-For start our work with cv Madural of Olea europaea finally gave its most significant results around the month of Septemberr. By sigificant results we mean obtaining contaminant free material with active healthy and significant growth. Here is a picture with one of our first explants to sprout with amazing energy just a month after the desinfection procedure.
Some económical dificulties have been present since the beguining of our project, and these dificulties have made a big diference in understanding the real chalenge of starting a biotechnology venture. As result for example I have discovered in Peak Plants extremelly cheap and effective antibotics, simplified procedures in sterelization and optimization of human resources to the maximum.
This value and competence was recenntly discovered by another Biotech venture associated to the Plansel Group in Alentejo(south of Portugal).
IT IS WITH GREAT PROUD THAT I ANOUNCE THE MERGING OF THE 2 PROJECTS PEAK PLANTS AND BIO-MELHORA.
At Bio-melhora notable work has been made by Dr A. Peixe in establishing cultures of our most widspread and simbolic olive cultivar "Galega", witch is a similarly hard to root variety but with high market demand.
- Right now we are already producing Galega in small amounts and the biggest challenge for next year is to supply Galega regularly and start supplying Madural.
Also we are producing Matrix plants of Prunus mariana and some ornamental. All of this will be in more detail in the new web-site soon.
