Micropropagation with LEDs

-Since 2007 Peak Plants has been deeply interested for the use of LEDs in tissue culture, this is mainly for the high potencial of costs reduction and improved photossyntesis. Also in the end of the same year Peak Plants developed with an engineer at LedTek China, three prototypes specifically designed for three diferent photossyntetic aplications.
-Due to the high lack of investidors in this area (micropropagation) in Portugal, Peak Plants has kept most of the research to its own use but the idea of using LEDs is more alive then ever. The prices and diversity of LED products in the market are increasing its competitive value, and the use of fluorescent lamps at our lab is near to an end.
